Summer is here and nothing says summer more than watermelons. The bright green, pinky-red, black-specked fruit 🍉 just screams it’s summer time!
If you’ve seen my other blog posts (like say this one, this one, or this one) you’ll know that I love to update my table setting with each changing season or holiday. So for this summer’s table decor, which I so aptly titled “summer-lovin”, I decided to feature watermelons.
I made these watermelon no-sew placemats with this watermelon fabric that I purchased at Joann fabrics. Using a fusible bonding web you can simply fold and iron the edges of your placemats so that no sewing is needed!
For the watermelon napkin rings I made those with leftover watermelon fabric and shower curtain rings, like I did in this DIY napkins rings from shower curtain rings post.
To make a place setting for 6, you’ll need: 40″ of watermelon fabric, 8 yards of fusible bonding web and 1 pack of shower curtain rings and your total cost will only be $10! You can’t beat that.
I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for summer!
